February 21, 2008 - Accident Caused by Ice on I-70

56-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries, after she and her husband, 66 years old, lost control on ice-covered I-170 EB .6 miles west of Route BB.  Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the couple from Marshall, Missouri travelled off to the left side of the roadway and hit a barrier.  Then they struck a rock bluff after drifting to the right side of the road.  Both were taken by ambulence to Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

February 19, 2008 - Vehicle Totalled on Route B

While attempting to overtake slower traffic, a 23-year-old male from Hallsville, Missouri, struck the 1996 Toyota Avalon of a 41-year-old female from Columbia, who was attempting a left turn onto Oakland Church Road.  Both vehicles were heading northbound on Route B.  The 1997 Saturn that struck the Avalon was totalled, while the Avalon had moderate damage.  No injuries were reported.

February 12, 2008 - Extensive Damage in Two-Car Crash

The Nissan Sentra of a 32-year-old male was struck in the rear, by a 17-year-old male while waiting to make a left turn on US 40, .3 miles west of Booth Lane.  The Sentra was totalled, while the other vehicle was reported to have extensive damage.  Both drivers were taken to the Missouri University Hospital in Columbia with minor injuries.

February 11, 2008 - Driver Loses Control on Hwy-63

A 19-year-old female lost control of her vehicle at 10 p.m., February 11, crossing the median while travelling southbound on Highway 63 at Claysville Road.   She crossed the northbound lanes and hit a rock bluff on the other side of the road.  She was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, suffering moderate injuries.  The 2004 Jeep was totalled.

February 11, 2008 - Minor Injuries but Totalled Vehicle

The driver of a  Ford Explorer lost control and struck a Saturn while travelling northbound on Highay 63 at Route H.  The Saturn went to the right side of the road, and the Explorer went to the left.  Both drivers were 24-year-old females from Columbia.   The driver of the stricken vehicle was taken to the University Hospital in Columbia with minor injuries.  The Explorer had minor damage, but the Saturn was totalled.

August 7, 2007 - Elderly Couple Injured on Hwy-63

An elderly couple (ages 78 and 83) was injured when a vehicle driven by a 47-year-old Jefferson City man attempted to cross Highway 63 at Route CC. The couple was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries.

August 5, 2007 - Woman & Grandson Injured by Wayward Tire

A 54-year-old woman and her 13-year-old grandson hit a rock embankment on Highway 70 near the 120 mile marker when they left the roadway after swering to avoid a wayward tire that had crossed the median into their path.  The two were taken to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri with moderate injuries.

August 3, 2007 - Extensive Damage in Crash at US-63 and MO-124

An accident occurred on August 3, 2007 at approximately 12:10 pm when a vehicle attempted to cross US Higway 63 from MO Hwy 124 and was struck by another vehicle.  The investigating officer indicated that the driver crossing US-63 failed to yield to the other vehicle already on the highway.  Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.  And both drivers were taken by amublance to University Hospital with moderate injuries.
